It only took a summer to make!

Today I finished something that has taken forever to finish! I made a little chalkboard for my door at school, and without a glue gun, the project has been on hold for a few months :)
This is what I started with: Magazines, a chalkboard from a garage sale, magnetic strips, corks and bottle caps from work, and mini-clothespins that I ended up not using.

First, I picked out little pictures from magazines that I liked, and traced and cut them to fit into the bottle caps.
They fit!

Then I used this magical stuff called Dimensional Magic, by Mod Podge :). It makes this clear layer over pictures and, really, anything that makes it looked more finished and professional.

I put the Dimensional Magic in all of the bottle caps to fill them in and let them dry overnight.

After they dried, I put small strips of magnet on the board so they will stick there. I wrote little messages so I can let people know where I am when I'm not in my room.

I then glued some corks to the bottom of the board so I can post little notes or someone else can post notes if they want!

After nailing some cool tie-dye ribbon to hang my board, it was finished!! Not the most complex, but it was fun and will hopefully be useful this year!!
